PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Kilmster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simo Supermies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kilmster comes to the cage accompanied by Maylene & The Sons of Disaster - Darkest of Kin. Supermies is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by D12 - Fight Music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 29 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Kilmster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Simo Supermies!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Supermies displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kilmster throws out the jab.
Supermies tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Supermies drops Kilmster with a beautiful combination! Kilmster stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Supermies is looking for the KO!
Supermies's coach down at DiscoClub was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Supermies's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Supermies lands a big head kick that sends Kilmster tumbling to the mat! Supermies takes a step backwards and waves Kilmster back to his feet - he wants the finish!

and Supermies counters with a crisp right hand that drops Kilmster! Supermies lets Kilmster back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Supermies is nestled in close to Kilmster, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Supermies connects with a nice short shot to Kilmster's temple.
Supermies is looking to take a break and control but Kilmster is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well Supermies has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
