Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
28 - 53 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
38 - 20 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ezra Ray!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall slips a jab and a cross from Ray.
Ray lands an overhand right.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hall.
Hall throws an overhand right that lands on Ray's shoulder, as Ray tries to avoid the shot.
Hall misses with a combination
and Ray counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hall throws a low kick but Ray avoids it.
Hall misses with a double jab.
Ray feints and then cracks Hall's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hall down.
Jesse Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ray throws a series of punches but Hall avoids them all with ease.
Ray fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hall has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ray lands a body shot.
Hall drops Ray with a left right combo! Hall follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like Ezra Ray has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ray is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hall off and has taken his back!
Ray controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ray has the hooks in. Hall is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Hall rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Ray slows the pace down in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hall missing with punches from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hall is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ray perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Ray is trying to improve position by moving to mount. Hall has hold of his neck though and manages to move into guard! All of a sudden, Ray is in a lot of trouble! Hall is straining to finish and he's done it! Ray taps out! Amazing!
