Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between nelson rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Valcone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). rocha comes to the cage accompanied by Pas de Héros. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
rocha changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Valcone tries to avoid it but rocha manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Valcone to the ground. Valcone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
rocha darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Valcone actively working from the bottom here.
Valcone is staying active underneath rocha, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Valcone is pressing down on rocha's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Valcone had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. rocha is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Valcone Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take rocha's back instead.
Valcone is working for a rear naked choke. rocha is not defending it well and Valcone has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! rocha refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of rocha's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
