Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamison Byrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Hank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Byrd gets a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hank scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Harry Hank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Byrd has closed the distance and engaged Hank in a clinch.
Hank is trying to push Byrd away but Byrd has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Byrd is struggling to control the position.

Hank throws a head kick that half lands.
Hank lands with an uppercut that bounces Byrd off the cage and back into range.

Hank bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Byrd throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Hank buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Byrd is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
As Byrd backs off Hank throws a huge counter combo but Byrd manages to avoid it all.
Hank looks for the body kick but Byrd saw that one coming.
Byrd tries to counter with a takedown but Hank is quick to defend against it.

Hank avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hank throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Byrd tries to clinch but Hank is having none of it.

Hank plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

and Byrd decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hank's guard.
Hank is wriggling around but Byrd manages to pass to half guard.

Byrd stands up and beckons Hank to join him on the feet.
Harry Hank is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Byrd gets caught flat footed, as Hank shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Byrd pushes Hank off and gets back to his feet.

Hank has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Byrd shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Byrd was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hank bucks up and tries to throw Byrd off but instead Byrd has got his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jamison Byrd overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hank is squirming around looking to escape but he's just wriggling himself into more trouble. Byrd sinks in the hooks and manages to tighten his grip on a rear naked choke. Hank has no choice but to tap and Byrd jumps to his feet to celebrate and slick submission win!
