Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Iswan Dono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Hofstadter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Iswan Dono!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ivan Hofstadter!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dono moves out of range as Hofstadter strikes.
Hofstadter pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hofstadter gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Hofstadter shoots in for a double leg but Dono sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dono lands with a straight right. Hofstadter didn't see that one coming.
Dono scores with a jab to the head.
Hofstadter needs to keep his hands up - Dono had a free shot at his head there.
Dono misses with the combination.
Hofstadter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dono has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Hut - $50 in the buildup to the fight.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Hofstadter has eaten all the pies!
Dono looks for the body kick but Hofstadter saw that one coming.
Hofstadter throws a lazy right hand but Dono sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dono lands with a straight right. Hofstadter didn't see that one coming.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hofstadter takes a jab right on the kisser.
Dono bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hofstadter's head.
Dono fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hofstadter is out of range.
Iswan Dono seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dono throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hofstadter.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hofstadter.

Dono lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Dono works the jab nicely.
Hofstadter slips a jab from Dono.

Dono cracks Hofstadter with an open hand slap.

Dono throws out a loose jab but Hofstadter uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dono tries to land a front kick but Hofstadter steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Dono is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Hofstadter fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dono to the ground. Hofstadter is now in Dono's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hofstadter drops back looking for a leg! Dono is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dono manages to kick Hofstadter off! Hofstadter jumps back into Dono's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hofstadter needs to keep his hands up - Dono had a free shot at his head there.
Crunch! Dono slams his shin into Hofstadter's torso.
Dono throws the left hand but Hofstadter avoids the punch easily.
Hofstadter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dono.
Dono throws a sloppy head kick and Hofstadter moves out of range easily.

Hofstadter shoots in and bounces Dono off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Dono wants to sweep here but Hofstadter controlling him for the moment.
Dono preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hofstadter stops Dono from standing up.

Hofstadter has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Hut - $50. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Dono will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Let's hope that Hofstadter has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hofstadter chips away with some ground and pound.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dono avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dono throws a looping overhand right but Hofstadter ducks down to avoid it.
Dono throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hofstadter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hofstadter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dono tries to avoid it but Hofstadter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dono to the ground. Dono escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dono tries to lock up and control but Hofstadter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Ivan Hofstadter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Dono throws a nice looking combination but Hofstadter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hofstadter takes a swing at Dono's ribcage but misses.
Hofstadter on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Dono. Dono obviously looking to wear him down.

Dono is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hofstadter can do to turn this around?
