The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez tries to clinch but Chojrak moves out of range.
Chojrak keeps the fight on the outside.
Alvarez throws a right and a left that Chojrak avoids nicely.
Chojrak misses with a head kick.

Chojrak fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alvarez , pushing him back against the cage.
Alvarez misses with a short punch on the inside.

Chojrak manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Alvarez wants to stand but Chojrak is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alvarez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Chojrak, up you get!
Chojrak avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Chojrak raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Chojrak fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
As Chojrak tries to get set, Alvarez tries to push him back and clinch up but Chojrak manages to avoid the attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Alvarez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chojrak sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alvarez somewhat.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Chojrak.
Alvarez appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Alvarez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Chojrak counters with a nice uppercut.
Chojrak scores with a crisp jab that stopped Alvarez in his tracks.

Chojrak clinches with his opponent.
Chojrak jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Alvarez walks away with a smile on his face. Chojrak gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Alvarez tries to clinch but Chojrak moves out of range.
Despite the aggression on Chojrak's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Alvarez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Chojrak looks for the body kick but Alvarez saw that one coming.
Sloppy strikes from Alvarez . Those never looked like landing.
And Chojrak tries to counter it with a takedown but Alvarez pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Alvarez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chojrak.

Alvarez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chojrak swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Alvarez is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Chojrak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chojrak looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Alvarez throws a right hand that Chojrak ducks under and follows up with a left that Chojrak also avoids with ease.
Alvarez shoots in for a takedown but Chojrak shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Alvarez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Chojrak darts in and clinches Alvarez up against the cage.
Alvarez tries to pull guard but Chojrak forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Chojrak tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Alvarez smiles and moves away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Chojrak darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Chojrak tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alvarez swivels and escapes.
A big right from Alvarez misses.

Chojrak closes the distance and clinches.

Chojrak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Alvarez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chojrak as he avoids it easily.

Chojrak has managed to clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chojrak tries to pull guard but Alvarez holds him up against the cage and eventually Chojrak drops back down to his feet.
Alvarez is trying to maintain a safe position but Chojrak gets an underhook and turns Alvarez into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Damian Chojrak dominated that round.
That's time! Alvarez 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Alvarez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chojrak manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

letting Chojrak counter with a right hand.

It looks like Harry Alvarez has been cut.

Alvarez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Alvarez drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Alvarez seems to have locked his on tight now - Chojrak screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Alvarez , as he picks up the win!
