Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Molloy fails in his attempt to clinch.
A nice combination there by Battle.
It looks like Mark Molloy has been cut.
Molloy tries for a takedown but Battle sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Battle scores with a jab to the jaw.

Battle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Molloy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Battle cracks Molloy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Molloy fails with a takedown attempt.
Battle tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Molloy tries to clinch but Battle moves out of range.
Battle lands a big uppercut and Molloy crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Molloy looks OK. Battle waves Molloy back to his feet!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Battle circles away from the clinch attempt.
Molloy is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Battle moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Davin Battle!
