PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sweaty BallSack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). BallSack has chosen Drowning Pool - Bodies as his entrance music. Sweaty BallSack is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vincent Sanders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sweaty BallSack!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BallSack throws a right hand that Sanders ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanders also avoids with ease.
Sanders with a lazy takedown attempt
and Sanders takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

BallSack closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - BallSack lands in his opponent's guard.
Sanders keeping moving, preventing BallSack from controlling successfully.
BallSack tries to stand but Sanders is controlling from the bottom.
BallSack trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanders is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

BallSack is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sanders is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sanders has escaped and now he's on top!

That's one minute gone in the round.

BallSack is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sanders defends well.
Sanders stays in close to BallSack's body and controls the position.

BallSack had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sanders defends it easily.
BallSack doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Sanders trying to control the position from guard on top but BallSack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sanders has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas in the buildup to the fight.

BallSack gets the takedown into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sanders sneaks out the side door and pushes BallSack away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
BallSack catches Sanders with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Sanders gets caught napping as BallSack dives in and scores a takedown. Sanders manages to retain guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
BallSack trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanders is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
BallSack looking to sit in guard and control but Sanders gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if BallSack can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sanders stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. BallSack swivels though and keeps the full guard.
BallSack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanders. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sanders is breathing heavily.

BallSack is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sanders pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. BallSack is keeping the position for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

BallSack has his foot on Sanders's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanders works his way back into a safe position though.
BallSack is trying to control the position from the bottom.

BallSack is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
BallSack striking off his back, scoring a few points.
Sanders distracts BallSack with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sanders won't allow BallSack to sweep him here.
Sanders stays in close to BallSack's body and controls the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sanders scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Sanders pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. BallSack is keeping the position for now.

BallSack working for a triangle but Sanders defends it easily.
Sanders trying to control the position from guard on top but BallSack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
BallSack fails with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sweaty BallSack dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Sanders takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Sanders instigates a clinch.

BallSack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
BallSack displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sanders.
A little jabbing left from BallSack on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Sanders fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
BallSack tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sanders swivels and escapes.

BallSack shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sanders napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
BallSack trying to control the position but Sanders is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

BallSack has an Americana. Sanders didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! BallSack is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if BallSack hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sweaty BallSack!
A very excited looking Sweaty BallSack made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
