The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Lesnar or perhaps it was just good defense by Wright which made him look bad.

Matt Wright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Lesnar.

Wright clinches up against the cage.

Wright decides to pull guard.
Wright manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lesnar tries to hold on but Wright pushes him away.
Lesnar tries to buck Wright off but he can't manage it.
Wright tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Lesnar is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wright lands a big elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lesnar is looking to improve his position but Wright isn't that keen on the idea.
Lesnar really wants to buck Wright off and get back to his feet.

Wright controlling the pace for now.

Wright is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lesnar can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Wright takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Lesnar is in a horrible position here. Wright smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Wright looking to isolate an arm here. Lesnar doesn't see it coming and as Wright extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Wright!
