The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones Jr swings away with a body shot that misses
and Vance connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A low kick from Jones Jr is predictable there
enabling Vance to counter with a crisp jab.

Vance throws a combination that misses

and Jones Jr counters with a shoot takedown. Vance fights it but they end up in guard.

Vance really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vance stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Vance scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jones Jr in his tracks.

Vance's corner calls for a 1-2. Vance obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Kruger Vance is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

After the fight, Kruger Vance was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
