Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lachie Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lachie Hansen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lachie Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Ron Honeybunn and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch up but Hansen circles away and keeps his distance.
Hansen misses with a head kick.

Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Hansen. Hansen gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones misses with a double jab.
Hansen throws a quick counter head kick but Jones was just out of range.
Hansen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hansen off to one side.

Jones darts in and clinches Hansen up against the cage.

Jones successfully pulls guard.
Hansen wants to stand but Jones is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones is trying to control the position but Hansen postures up.

Jones is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hansen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hansen is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hansen is stalling in the full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Hansen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jones takes the fight into the clinch.
Hansen is trying to break the clinch but Jones is controlling him.
Hansen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hansen is looking for a takedown.

Jones throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hansen blocks it with crossed arms.

Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hansen looks for the body kick but Jones saw that one coming.
As Hansen backs off Jones throws a huge counter combo but Hansen manages to avoid it all.

Hansen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jones defends well and Hansen ends up having to push Jones into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

and Jones counters with a leg kick.

Jones moves into the clinch.

Jones breaks the clinch.

Hansen moves into range and clinches up with Jones.
Hansen dodges an elbow strike from Jones.
Jones is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hansen to keep the fight standing.
Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hansen walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hansen dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Hansen's head and hops out.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hansen swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hansen.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hansen closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Hansen pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jones gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Hansen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hansen tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hansen to the ground. Hansen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Hansen.

This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hansen shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones checks a low kick from Hansen.
Hansen throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hansen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hansen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Horrible takedown attempt by Hansen or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones, which made it look bad.

Lachie Hansen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hansen rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hansen is looking to control Jones's arms but Jones gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hansen has his back to the cage.

Hansen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jones creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hansen prevents it.

Jones gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hansen regains guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Hansen manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Jones is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hansen scores with a couple of nice shots.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jon Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Hansen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

We've been hearing that Hansen has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Jones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Hansen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hansen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Hansen counters with a straight right hand.
Hansen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Hansen shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Hansen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hansen gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Jones blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hansen smiles and moves away.
Lachie Hansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones.

Hansen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hansen somewhat.
Despite the aggression on Jones's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Hansen moves into the clinch successfully.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Jones obliges.
Jones is trying to pull guard but Hansen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Hansen lands a left hand.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
