Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturo Alvarado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arturo Alvarado will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alex Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arturo Alvarado!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Lesnar moves into the clinch.
Alvarado tries for a takedown. No joy.
Alvarado dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Lesnar can't get the takedown.

Lesnar is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Alvarado can't fight it off and eventually Lesnar manages to take the fight to the floor. Alvarado looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lesnar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Alvarado is controlling Lesnar's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alvarado is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alvarado swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Alvarado escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lesnar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Alvarado is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lesnar looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Lesnar connects with a couple of short punches.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lesnar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alvarado has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lesnar has managed to get both his arms back between Alvarado's legs - danger averted.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Alvarado holds on and takes a little breather.
Alvarado looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Lesnar engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Lesnar checks a low kick from Alvarado.

Lesnar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lesnar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Alvarado is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Lesnar is keen to just control but Alvarado is a slippery customer.
Lesnar is looking to advance position but Alvarado won't allow it.

Alvarado is trying to control but Lesnar passes into side control!
Alvarado manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Alvarado wants to improve his position but Lesnar is controlling well.
Lesnar with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Alvarado is trying to get back to full guard.
Alvarado is pressing down on Lesnar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

A close round but Arturo Alvarado will probably get the nod.

Some bone on bone action there as Lesnar checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Lesnar is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Alvarado.
Alvarado throws out a leg kick but Lesnar moves out of range and Alvarado only half commits.

Lesnar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Lesnar has Alvarado pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Alvarado manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Lesnar is looking to take this one to the mat.
Alvarado trying to land knees to the body.
Lesnar on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Alvarado lands a good knee to the midsection. Lesnar won't want to take too many of those.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Lesnar is looking to control Alvarado's arms but Alvarado gets an underhook and turns him. Now Lesnar has his back to the cage.
Lesnar goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Alvarado throws a knee to the head but misses.

Alvarado has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lesnar is trying to keep an underhook but Alvarado manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Lesnar is controlling Alvarado's trapped leg to prevent Alvarado from advancing to side control.
Lesnar has a hand on Alvarado's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Alvarado takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Alvarado punching from mount but Lesnar doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Alvarado throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Lesnar is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Lesnar is squirming around, avoiding Alvarado's attempts to control the action.
Alvarado content just to control the position here.
Lesnar has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Alvarado controlling well, preventing Lesnar from escaping the position.

Alvarado is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Lesnar covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Lesnar tries to escape but Alvarado has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Lesnar prevents Alvarado from getting a body triangle.
Lesnar is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
