Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Macky Mouba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cai Proctor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cai Proctor!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouba shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Proctor as he avoids it easily.
Mouba definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mouba takes one on the button.
Mouba fails with the takedown.
Proctor throws a jab but it's blocked by Mouba.
Mouba tries for a takedown but Proctor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Macky Mouba. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mouba looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Proctor is fending him off so far but Mouba persists. Nope, Proctor circles away and we're back to standing.

Proctor connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Proctor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Proctor jabbing away but nothing is landing.
As Proctor tries to get set, Mouba tries to push him back and clinch up but Proctor manages to avoid the attempt.
Proctor misses with an uppercut. Mouba saw that one coming.
Mouba appears to be looking for a big counter.
Mouba goes for a double leg but Proctor avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Proctor continues to drive forward.
Proctor looks to throw the jab but Mouba is out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Proctor as Mouba shoots in.

Proctor missing with a left hand there. Mouba was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Mouba throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Proctor's waist but Proctor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mouba off to one side.
Mouba misses with a takedown attempt - Proctor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mouba takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Proctor throws a hook but Mouba avoids it easily.
A big left from Proctor misses.
Proctor throws a hook to the side of Mouba's head but Mouba sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mouba is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Proctor.
Proctor throws a body shot but no joy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mouba uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Proctor.
Mouba bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Proctor swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mouba.
Proctor throws a hook but Mouba avoids it easily.

Mouba shoots in for a double leg but Proctor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Cai Proctor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Proctor! But no joy.
Mouba moves out of range of the strikes.

Mouba has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Proctor is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Proctor.
Mouba breaks from the clinch.
Mouba scoring well with a low kick there.
Proctor throws the left hand but Mouba avoids the punch easily.
Mouba fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Proctor, pushing him back against the cage.

Proctor wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Proctor working aggressively here.

Mouba stalling.
Proctor working hard to break the clinch.
Proctor swings wildly with an uppercut but Mouba uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mouba pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Proctor circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mouba with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Proctor to score with a decent uppercut.
Proctor lands with an overhand left.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mouba blocks a jab.
Mouba avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Proctor pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Proctor is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mouba had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Proctor connects with a right hand. Mouba shakes it off.
Cai Proctor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mouba clinches.
Mouba stalling in the clinch.
Mouba has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Proctor uses from the top position.
Mouba is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Proctor frees his head nicely. Oh but Mouba has switched to an armbar! Proctor is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
