The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vakarchuk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dark circles away.

Dark clinches.

Vakarchuk gets control of Dark's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vakarchuk will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Vakarchuk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dark doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dark manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Vakarchuk has his foot on Dark's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dark works his way back into a safe position though.
Vakarchuk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dark's guard.

Dark thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Vakarchuk postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Vakarchuk content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vakarchuk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Dark has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vakarchuk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That has opened up Demon Dark's cut even more.
Vakarchuk arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Dark's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
