Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Torquil Bram!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marco Tran!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bram loads up on a big right hand but Tran slips the punch.
Bram fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A cross from Tran lands.
Tran misses with a two punch combination.
Bram rushes Tran and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bram lands with a light punch inside.
Tran has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Tran avoiding damage as Bram throws knees to the body.
Bram lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tran backwards.
Bram pushes Tran back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Tran just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bram's brow.
Tran tries a body shot but Bram blocks it.
Bram prevents Tran from breaking the clinch.
Tran throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
I was talking to Bram's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A head punch on the inside from Bram fails to land.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Bram.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bram throws a head punch that misses.
Bram has a couple of punches blocked by Tran.
Bram lands a left hand that snaps the head of Tran backwards.
Bram avoids a wild elbow strike from Tran.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tran blocks an uppercut.
Tran misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Tran swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bram dodges an elbow strike from Tran.
Bram has Tran pressed against the cage, preventing Tran from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Bram pushes Tran back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bram misses with the head strike.
Bram on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Bram misses with a hook to the ribs.
Bram is working Tran over against the cage.
Tran is trying to break the clinch but Bram has him pressed against the cage.
Tran has had enough of the clinch but Bram keeps him there for the moment.
Tran blocking some punches.
Bram scores with a shoulder strike.
Bram is stalling here.
Bram lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Tran or not.
Bram lands a hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tran wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bram has him pressed against the cage.
Tran blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bram cracks Tran with a nice body shot.
Tran looks winded!
Bram scores with a shoulder strike.
Bram tries to land knees in the clinch but Tran avoids the damage to the body.
Bram lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tran breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bram fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bram lands a glancing blow to the side of Tran's head.
Bram drops Tran with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tran looks back up at him and smiles so Bram waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Tran is rocked!
It looks like Marco Tran has been cut.
Tran ducks into an uppercut from Bram and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Torquil Bram!
