Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Hyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ratko Malich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Malich tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hyde sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Malich somewhat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hyde holds on and takes a little breather.

Malich drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hyde manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Malich has Hyde in his guard.
Hyde seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hyde's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Malich bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Malich has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hyde is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Malich yanks on the arm and Hyde is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Malich.
