Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, A Evans!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Helen Davies!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies closes the distance and clinches up with Evans, looking for a takedown. Davies pushes Evans against the cage but Evans circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Evans closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Evans lands in his opponent's guard.

Davies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Evans. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Evans has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Davies is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Evans.

Helen Davies showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Evans has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Davies can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Evans looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Davies has picked Evans up and slammed him! Evans can't keep hold of the triangle and Davies manages to pass to side control!
Davies wants to take a breather but Evans manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Davies.

Davies stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Evans has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Davies manages to get his head free but now Evans has transitioned to an armbar! Davies grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Evans! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
