Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felix Lora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Pala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pala looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Pala tries to free his leg and advance position but Lora is retaining full guard.
Lora is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Lora trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Pala postures up in Lora's guard and throws a big left but Lora blocks it.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lora is defended easily by Pala.

Lora tries to sprawl but Pala drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Lora wants to get back to his feet.
Pala passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lora!
Lora tries to lock up and control but Pala gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lora tries to lock up and control but Pala gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Pala wants to control the pace but Lora is squirming around nicely.

Lora really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lora is squirming around, avoiding Pala's attempts to control the action.
Lora trying to punch from the bottom. They're landing but they're really not going to hurt Pala.

Pala tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Pala thows a huge punch but Lora dodges it nicely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Pala prevents Lora from improving his position.
Pala is taking a breather. Lora says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Pala wants to stand up but Lora has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Lora works his way to full guard. Good work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pala is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Pala would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Pala is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lora is aware though and is defending well.

Lora got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pala has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lora has managed to get both his arms back between Pala's legs - danger averted.
Mario Pala has got the better of the ground game so far.

Lora misses with a few strikes there.
Lora throws a front kick aimed at Pala's knee but Pala avoids it well.
Pala shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lora but Lora pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pala moves into the clinch.
Lora is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Pala gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Lora pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Pala fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lora to the ground. Pala is now in Lora's guard.

Pala stays in close to Lora's body and controls the position.

Pala stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lora swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lora gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Pala tries to pull guard but Lora forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Pala breaks from the clinch.
Lora fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pala manages to avoid it.
Lora tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pala paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lora dives in and scores a takedown into Pala's guard.

Lora stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pala swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lora has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pala is proving hard to escape from.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Pala is pulling down on Lora's head. It's preventing any offense from Lora, at least for the moment.

That was a close second round but I would say that Felix Lora will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Pala closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Lora jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pala walks away with a smile on his face. Lora gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lora dodges the punch combination from Pala.
Pala tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lora drops down looking for a counter takedown but Pala sprawls and moves away.

Pala is fighting to break Lora's control of his arms but Lora is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lora shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Lora wants to pass to mount but Pala is defending the position.

Lora is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Lora is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Lora tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Pala.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pala does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Lora moves into range and clinches up with Pala.
Pala jumps guard but Lora turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Pala changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lora fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Felix Lora has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Pala.
Pala takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Pala has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Lora pushes Pala up against the cage in a clinch.
Pala throws a head punch that misses.
Pala wants to break the clinch but can't.
Pala throws a knee to the head but misses.
Lora blocks an uppercut.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pala tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lora smiles and moves away.

Lora closes the distance and pushes Pala back into the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Felix Lora showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lora has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
