The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calavar scores with a decent looking hook.
Calavar looks to land a combination but Roscoe avoids it well.
Calavar throws a right and a left that Roscoe avoids nicely.

Calavar pushes Roscoe off and gets back to his feet.
Roscoe scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and Roscoe counters with a three punch combo that has Calavar backing up. Calavar nods at Roscoe to acknowledge the strikes.

and Roscoe counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Calavar is breathing heavily.

Roscoe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Calavar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Roscoe works over Calavar with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Calavar pushes Roscoe off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Roscoe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Calavar as he jumps to the side.

Roscoe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Calavar sprawls well initially but Roscoe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Calavar has one foot on Roscoe's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Roscoe closes the distance and clinches up with Calavar, looking for a takedown. Roscoe pushes Calavar against the cage but Calavar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Johnny Calavar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Roscoe.

Calavar scores with a one two! Roscoe had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Roscoe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Calavar connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Roscoe scores with a jab. Calavar acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Roscoe fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Some wild striking there from Roscoe.
Calavar stalks Roscoe and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Roscoe's face. Roscoe staggers backwards, shaken.
Calavar closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Roscoe is rocked!
Roscoe walks straight into a right hand from Calavar - that's dropped him! Calavar jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Roscoe from any more punishment! Roscoe complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
