PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eldon Figueroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Shwartzneger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shwartzneger moves to clinch but Figueroa breaks away

and Figueroa decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shwartzneger's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Figueroa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Figueroa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Figueroa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shwartzneger connects with a nice short shot to Figueroa's temple.

Figueroa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Figueroa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Figueroa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shwartzneger enables Figueroa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shwartzneger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Shwartzneger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Figueroa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Eldon Figueroa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Shwartzneger has his foot on Figueroa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Figueroa works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eldon Figueroa.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Figueroa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
