Charles comes to the cage accompanied by Have Heart - Armed With A Mind. Kobe Kage has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Danny Charles's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Charles.

Charles drives through and clinches with Kage against the cage.
Kage trying to control the position but instead, Charles has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kage into the cage.

Charles successfully pulls guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kage drops back looking for a leg! Charles is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Charles manages to kick Kage off! Kage jumps back into Charles's guard.

Charles postures up and lands a big shot to Kage's brow.

Charles got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kage has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Charles has managed to get both his arms back between Kage's legs - danger averted.
Charles definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Charles has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kage is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Charles is aware though and is defending well.

Charles keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kage's head.

Kage is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Charles frees his head nicely. Oh but Kage has switched to an armbar! Charles is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
