Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brock comes to the cage accompanied by Here comes the boom. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Brock or perhaps it was just good defense by Hughes, which made it look bad.
Hughes shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brock napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hughes is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brock knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Brock regains half guard.
Brock preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Hughes is working for a submission of some sort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hughes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Brock working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hughes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hughes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hughes drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brock looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brock looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brock!

Brock takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hughes is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hughes is still trying to improve position.
Brock tries to control but Hughes wriggling away.
Hughes manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Hughes moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Brock tries to free his leg and advance position but Hughes is retaining full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hughes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brock's guard.
