Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Mills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rey Mysterio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rey Mysterio was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mills decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mysterio is looking to improve his position.
Mysterio slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Mysterio looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mysterio wants to stand but Mills is controlling the position.

Mysterio working for a triangle but Mills defends it easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Mysterio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mills can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mills seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
