and Hyde decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Polishuk's guard.

Polishuk pushes Hyde off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Polishuk shoots in looking for a takedown but Hyde manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Polishuk's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Hyde is in close to Polishuk's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hyde is working Polishuk over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Hyde decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Polishuk fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hyde half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Hyde closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hyde lands in his opponent's guard.

Hyde has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hyde drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hyde jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Polishuk shoots in for a takedown but Hyde shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Hyde counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Hyde is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Polishuk can do to turn this around?

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hyde is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Polishuk is just riding it out for now. Hyde eventually gives up the hold.

Hyde really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
