Fisher is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face. Ivo Lopes has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ivo Lopes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, George Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopes throws a right and a left that Fisher avoids nicely.
Ivo Lopes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fisher bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fisher wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lopes, who protects the arm well.
Lopes is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Fisher asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Lopes prevents Fisher from moving into mount.
The referee asks Fisher politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Fisher prefers to stall for the moment though.
Lopes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fisher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lopes with a lazy takedown attempt

and Fisher counters with a single leg into guard. Lopes didn't expect that.
Fisher lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Fisher lands a couple of elbows.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fisher seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Fisher has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Fisher keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lopes's head.
Lopes is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Lopes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fisher on the ground.
Fisher slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Fisher connects with a couple of short punches.
Fisher with a nice head shot there.
Fisher controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fisher scoring with punches to the head and body.
Fisher cracks Lopes with a solid left hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fisher drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Fisher as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Lopes screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Fisher! Nice submission victory there!
