Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kallan Slevin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Woowa Owraa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Woowa Owraa is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kallan Slevin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Woowa Owraa!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slevin tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Owraa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Slevin gets a clinch.
Owraa looking to throw knees to the head but Slevin is blocking nicely.
Slevin misses with a hook to the ribs.

Owraa breaks from the clinch.
Slevin misses with a left hand
and Owraa counters with a one-two to the body.
Slevin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Owraa avoids a punch combination nicely.
Owraa unleashes a big counter combination but Slevin bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Slevin connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Slevin avoids the head kick by Owraa.
Slevin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Owraa sprawls well. Owraa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Slevin gets slowly back to his feet.

Slevin has Owraa up against the cage in a clinch.

Slevin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Slevin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Owraa is trying to pull guard but Slevin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Slevin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Slevin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Owraa.

Slevin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Owraa is trying to control the action in half guard but Slevin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Owraa working over Slevin with some ground and pound. Slevin looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Slevin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Owraa stands and throws Slevin's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Slevin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Owraa gets to mount! Slevin was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Slevin is breathing heavily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Slevin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Owraa lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Owraa wants to control the pace but Slevin is squirming around nicely.
Slevin sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Owraa is keen to just control but Slevin is a slippery customer.
Slevin is looking for a sweep. Owraa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Slevin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Owraa is working away from the top position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


A punch combination from Slevin misses.
Slevin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Slevin sets himself, and Owraa steps forward looking for the clinch! Slevin avoids it this time.
Slevin has a takedown stuffed.

Owraa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Owraa stands up over Slevin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Owraa wants to control from the top but Slevin keeps moving.
Owraa with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Owraa gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Slevin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Owraa circles away quickly and effectively.
Owraa avoids a punch combination nicely.

Owraa gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Owraa tries to pull guard but Slevin holds him up against the cage and eventually Owraa drops back down to his feet.

Owraa turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Owraa manages to end up in side control.
Owraa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slevin keeps working.
Slevin is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Owraa working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Owraa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Slevin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Slevin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Owraa is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Slevin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Slevin shrugs it off.

Owraa wants to control the pace but Slevin is squirming around nicely.

Woowa Owraa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Owraa manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Slevin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Owraa rushes Slevin and presses him up against the cage.
Slevin prevents the takedown attempt.
Owraa throws an elbow that misses.
Owraa jumps guard but Slevin stands there with Owraa around his waist. Owraa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Owraa has hold of one of Slevin's legs. Slevin is fighting the takedown attempt but Owraa gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Slevin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Owraa wants to control from the top but Slevin keeps moving.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Slevin is on top in guard.

Woowa Owraa has got the better of the ground game so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Slevin wanted to stand there but Owraa had control of the position.

Slevin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Owraa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Owraa has escaped and now he's on top!
Slevin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Slevin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Owraa puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Owraa connects with a nice short shot to Slevin's temple.

Owraa lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Slevin is looking for a sweep. Owraa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Owraa keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Owraa clinches with his opponent.
A bit of stalling here from Owraa.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Slevin.

Slevin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Owraa scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Slevin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Owraa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slevin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kallan Slevin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Woowa Owraa is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kallan Slevin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slevin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kallan Slevin.
I think Owraa has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
