The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buffel gets a double leg takedown into Guzman's guard.
Buffel wants to control from the top but Guzman keeps moving.
Buffel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Buffel pushes down on Guzman's leg and manages to get into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Guzman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Buffel seems to be looking for submissions.
Buffel thows a huge punch but Guzman dodges it nicely.
Well, if Buffel is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Buffel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Guzman to the mat! Guzman manages to get full guard.
Buffel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
It looks like Buffel might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Buffel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Buffel is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Buffel looking to sit in guard and control but Guzman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Guzman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Buffel on the ground.
Guzman wants to stand but Buffel has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Guzman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Guzman.
