Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ziam Quade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ziam Quade will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alex Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ziam Quade!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Quade counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Quade has Lesnar up against the cage in a clinch.

Lesnar is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Quade can't fight it off and eventually Lesnar manages to take the fight to the floor. Quade looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lesnar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Lesnar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Quade keeping full guard, as Lesnar tries to pass.
Lesnar with a flurry of punches that miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Quade works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Quade trying to keep a closed guard but Lesnar is proving a slippery customer.

Quade looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lesnar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Quade keeping moving, preventing Lesnar from controlling successfully.
Lesnar controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Lesnar chips away with some ground and pound.
Lesnar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Lesnar wants to stand and escape but instead Quade has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Quade stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lesnar swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Quade is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Lesnar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lesnar looking for a sweep. Not yet Lesnar, not yet.

Lesnar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Quade defends well.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Quade looking to pass the guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Alex Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lesnar thows a leg kick but Quade checks it

and Quade counters with a shoot takedown. Lesnar fights it but they end up in guard.
Lesnar avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Quade prevents Lesnar from getting back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lesnar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Lesnar is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lesnar is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lesnar definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quade drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lesnar dives on top into guard.
Lesnar wants to control from the top but Quade keeps moving.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Quade is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lesnar has his hands clasped together but Quade extends and breaks Lesnar's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Quade.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ziam Quade!
