The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hermannson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cordoza is fending him off so far but Hermannson persists. Nope, Cordoza circles away and we're back to standing.

Cordoza changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hermannson tries to avoid it but Cordoza manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hermannson to the ground. Hermannson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hermannson lands a knee to the body.

Hermannson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Arnar Hermannson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hermannson shoots in looking for a takedown. Cordoza tries to sprawl out of it but Hermannson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cordoza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cordoza throws a hook to the side of Hermannson's head but Hermannson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
