Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peewee Herman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richie Holland!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holland throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Herman.
Holland tries to bum rush Herman with a series of wild strikes but Herman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Holland takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Holland cracks Herman with a good jab.


It looks like Peewee Herman has been cut.
Holland throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Herman.
Richie Holland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good shot there by Herman.
Holland is looking to clinch.
Herman cracks a nice hook into Holland's ribs.
Herman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Holland circles away quickly and effectively.

Herman tries to keep at a distance but Holland has taken the fight into the clinch.
Herman is trying to push Holland away but Holland has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Holland escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Holland on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Holland looks to score with a jab to the body but Herman is just out of range.
Holland lands a jab to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Holland moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Herman throws a hook to the side of Holland's head but Holland sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Herman's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Holland connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Herman scrambles back to his feet.
Herman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Holland manages to avoid it.
Nice straight punches there by Holland. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Holland.
Herman connects with a good right hand that stumbles Holland. Holland circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Holland has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Holland fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Herman sprawls well initially but Holland persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Herman manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Holland keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Herman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Herman is trying to force a seperation but Holland has the dominant position.
Herman wants to get back to striking at distance but Holland won't allow it.
Herman is trying to break the clinch but Holland is controlling him.
Herman gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Holland.
Herman looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Holland has Herman pressed against the cage, preventing Herman from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Holland breaks the clinch.
Nice body punch from Holland.
Holland throws a nice looking combination but Herman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Holland scores with a shot to the body.
Holland throws a series of punches but Herman avoids them all with ease.
Holland catches Herman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Holland lands a two punch combo.
Herman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Holland throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Herman swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Herman scores with a sloppy right hand. Holland should have avoided that one.


Holland is rocked!
Herman closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Holland out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Peewee Herman!
