The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoyoroll looks for a takedown but Wright sprawls well.
Shoyoroll showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wright.
Wright looks to score with a jab to the body but Shoyoroll is just out of range.
Shoyoroll throws a body shot but no joy.
Shoyoroll doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Wright just misses with a punch to the body.
Wright shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Shoyoroll eats them both and turns towards Wright to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Xande Shoyoroll has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wright rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shoyoroll moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Shoyoroll closes the distance and clinches up with Wright, looking for a takedown. Shoyoroll pushes Wright against the cage but Wright circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wright lands a nice hook to Shoyoroll's body. Shoyoroll takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Wright fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shoyoroll looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shoyoroll throws a lazy right hand but Wright sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Wright scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shoyoroll doesn't seem bothered though.
Wright wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Shoyoroll loads up on a big right hand but Wright slips the punch.
Wright moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Joseph Wright is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wright missing with a left hand there. Shoyoroll was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Wright lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Shoyoroll backs up against the cage.

Shoyoroll shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Shoyoroll frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Shoyoroll has managed to slip his arm under Wright's chin. This could be all over... yep, Wright is tapping out! Submission win for Shoyoroll.
