The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hei throws a big shot that misses.
Rattle scores with the left hand. Hei knows he should have avoided that one.
Chris Rattle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rattle swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hei.
Rattle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rattle throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice sprawl there from Hei as Rattle shoots in.
Rattle connects with a jab.
Hei drops Rattle with a big left hand and mounts him. Rattle is in big trouble!

It looks like Chris Rattle has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rattle is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rattle is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hei knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rattle on the ground.

Hei has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Rattle tries to reverse the position but Hei maintains control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hei controlling from mount.
Rattle is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hei will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hei controlling from the full mount.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Aima Hei just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Hei throws a sloppy head kick and Rattle moves out of range easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rattle throws a right and a left that Hei avoids nicely.

Rattle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hei moves out of range as Rattle strikes.
Rattle tries for a takedown but Hei sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Aima Hei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Rattle.
Hei steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rattle.
Rattle lands the left hand.
Hei will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hei decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Rattle lands a jab to the head.
Aima Hei is winning the standup battle so far.
Hei with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rattle steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hei.

and Hei counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hei.

Hei keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hei throws a hook but Rattle blocks it.
Hei looks to land a right hand but Rattle moved out of range.

Rattle checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Rattle throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hei throws a series of punches but Rattle avoids them all with ease.
Rattle has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Hei counters with a nice uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oh, that's a big right hand from Hei and Rattle goes tumbling to the canvas! Hei follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Rattle is still in real trouble! Can Hei finish him?

Well, if Hei is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rattle is looking to get back to full guard here but Hei has managed to pass to side control instead.

Hei tries to free his leg and advance position but Rattle is retaining full guard.
Hei has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Hei stands and steps away. Rattle gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hei darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Rattle's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Hei before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
