Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wai Man Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silik Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunt has chosen London Calling as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt throws a hook but Li avoids it easily.
Li throws a big counter combination but Hunt scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Li looks to score with a jab to the body but Hunt is just out of range.
Hunt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Li counters with a shoot takedown. Hunt fights it but they end up in guard.
Hunt wants to sweep here but Li controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Li postures up in Hunt's guard and throws a big left but Hunt blocks it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Li connects with a nice short shot to Hunt's temple.

We've been hearing good reports from Li's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Li arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Hunt's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Wai Man Li!
After the fight, Wai Man Li was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
