Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angel Rey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Farofa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Angel Rey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Farofa!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Farofa's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Farofa duly obliges.
Farofa shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rey eats them both and turns towards Farofa to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Farofa scores with a one two! Rey had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Farofa lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rey gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Farofa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Angel Rey. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fighters circle momentarily. Farofa darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Farofa gets caught napping as Rey dives in and scores a takedown. Farofa manages to retain guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rey is trying to get an arm triangle but Farofa is defending well.
Rey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rey works to advance to full mount. Farofa defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

A very excited looking Angel Rey made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Carlos Farofa was interviewed post fight and said 'thanks for coming out and party on me tonight'.
