Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gavin Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julien King!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King shoots in but Brown avoids the takedown attempt easily.
As King looks to move away, Brown throws a big counter combo bu King just gets out of the way.
A nice combination there by Brown.
King darts in trying to clinch
enabling Brown to counter with a crisp jab.
King tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Brown counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown keeps the fight on the outside.
King tries to clinch
and Brown counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Brown has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

King avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
King has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though.
King controls Brown momentarily but Brown frees himself.
King keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully.
Brown landing some decent shots from guard.
Brown postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Brown connects with a couple of short punches.
King looking to control.
Brown is in close to King's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Brown chips away with some ground and pound.
King is rocked!
Brown lands a couple of elbows.
King is still in real trouble! Can Brown finish him?

King seems to have recovered his senses.
King wants to hit a switch here but Brown passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for King there!
King tries to reverse the position but Brown maintains control.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Brown cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Brown content just to control the position here.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Brown! King is hurt baaadly! Brown is firing away with more strikes - King is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gavin Brown!
