The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mir.
Clay slaps away a takedown attempt from Mir, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Clay misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Clay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mir moves away.
Mir looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Clay misses with a wild combination.
Clay throws a right and a left that both miss.
Clay looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Mir gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mir is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Clay to keep the fight standing.
Billy Clay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir.

Mir jumps guard and drags Clay to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Mir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clay doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mir is tightening it up a little... Clay has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Clay reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Clay taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mir!
