Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Carroll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genki Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tyrone Carroll has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyrone Carroll!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Genki Sudo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sudo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Carroll tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sudo is in Carroll's guard.

Sudo drops back looking for a leg! Carroll is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carroll manages to kick Sudo off! Sudo jumps back into Carroll's guard.

Sudo wants to pass the guard but Carroll is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sudo stays in close to Carroll's body and controls the position.
Carroll could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Carroll has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sudo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sudo passes into half guard.

Sudo seems to be looking for submissions.
Carroll trying to control but Sudo postures up.
Sudo wants to free his trapped foot but Carroll is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Sudo is working for a kimura but Carroll is defending it quite comfortably.
Sudo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carroll does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sudo is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Sudo is pressing down on Carroll's thigh, looking to free his foot. Carroll is holding on for now.

Sudo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sudo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Carroll sees it coming and defends easily.

Sudo is trying to work for a kimura but Carroll is defending well.
Sudo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carroll keeps working.
Sudo trying to control from Carroll's half guard. Carroll has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Carroll preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Carroll wants to sweep but no luck.

Sudo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Carroll dives on top into guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sudo working for a triangle but Carroll defends it easily.

Sudo has his foot on Carroll's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carroll works his way back into a safe position though.

Carroll has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sudo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carroll doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carroll manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Genki Sudo dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Sudo keeps the fight on the outside.

Sudo closes the distance and clinches.
Carroll tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Sudo breaks from the clinch.

Sudo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Carroll did well to prevent Sudo getting side control.
Sudo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Carroll has his hands clasped together around Sudo's back. He's all about the action.
Carroll tries to get to full guard but Sudo has control of the leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sudo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Carroll wants to control but Sudo is keeping busy.
Carroll might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Sudo stalling.
Carroll keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Sudo passes to full mount!
Sudo looking to control and managing it successfully.
Sudo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sudo looking to secure an arm triangle but Carroll defends it well.
Sudo breaks from Carroll's wrist control and lands an elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carroll is trying to escape the mount.
Carroll tries to improve his position but instead Sudo has taken his back!
Carroll rolls, trying to escape but Sudo keeps control of the position.

Sudo is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Carroll won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Sudo off his unconscious opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Genki Sudo!
