Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dawes closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tooth quickly recovers to half guard.
Tooth wants to control but Dawes is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Tooth is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dawes is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Tooth wants to get back to full guard.
Tooth is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dawes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dawes's back!
Dawes tries to break free.
Dawes is taking damage to the body and head.
Tooth lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Tooth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tooth on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tooth tries to get out of the position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tooth holds on and takes a little breather.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dawes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tooth pulls Dawes in close to prevent any damage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dawes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tooth manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dawes has Tooth in his guard.

Tooth is pressing down on Dawes's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dawes is holding on for now.
Tooth winds up and cracks Dawes with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Dawes closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tooth did well to prevent Dawes getting side control.

Dawes throws a big elbow that misses.
Dawes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tooth swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tooth has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Dawes has passed into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ground and pound from Dawes seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Dawes goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Tooth rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dawes's guard! Nice work there by Tooth!
Dawes lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Dawes working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tooth's head.
Tooth is trying to keep Dawes in close.

Tooth bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dawes's guard.

Tooth is working Dawes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Tooth seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tooth's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Dawes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tooth defends well.

Dawes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tooth doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tooth manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Dawes has momentary wrist control but Tooth slips an elbow through the middle.
Tooth chips away with some ground and pound.

Tooth got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dawes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tooth has managed to get both his arms back between Dawes's legs - danger averted.

Tooth loads up on a big left hand. Dawes felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Tooth looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Dawes can't hide his disappointment, as Tooth celebrates the victory.
