Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rivers Cuomo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teddy Holmes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Holmes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cuomo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cuomo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Holmes for as long as he can get away with.
Holmes sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

That was a close round but I would say that Rivers Cuomo will probably get the nod.

Holmes is pulling down on Cuomo's head. It's preventing any offense from Cuomo, at least for the moment.
Cuomo wants to get up but he can't break Holmes's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Cuomo stands and steps away. Holmes gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Cuomo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Holmes on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Cuomo gets control of Holmes's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cuomo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Holmes has gone for a leg lock! Cuomo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Holmes's guard.

Cuomo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Holmes asserts his dominance and retains side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
