Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Silvio Soldan!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James misses the jab.
As James backs off Soldan throws a huge counter combo but James manages to avoid it all.
James throws a jab when Soldan was well out of range.
James swats away the attempt to clinch by Soldan.
James tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Soldan was well out of range. Poor timing from James.
Soldan connects with a looping right hand.
James connects with a good right hand that stumbles Soldan. Soldan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.


It looks like Silvio Soldan has been cut.
James moves out of range of the strikes.
James just misses with a punch to the body.
James on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
James throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Soldan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
James definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Soldan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
James throws a hook but Soldan blocks it.

Nice shot lands for Soldan.

Soldan is rocked!

James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
James missing with a left hand there. Soldan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

The crowd cheers as Soldan lands an impressive looking overhand right. James doesn't seem phased though.

James cracks Soldan with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. James has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Soldan to stand back up!
Soldan is still on wobbly legs! Can James finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!

James closes the distance and clinches.

James pushes Soldan back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
James keeps control of Soldan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Soldan's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
James lands an uppercut.

James pushes Soldan against the cage and as Soldan bounces back, James cracks him with a massive overhand right that sends him crashing to the mat! James follows up with more strikes but Soldan was out from that first, devastating punch! Wow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joy James!
A relieved looking Joy James thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
