Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Martell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles Martell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mark Munoz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charles Martell!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz blocks a head kick by Martell.
Martell throws a head kick that misses.
Martell misses with a kick to the body.
Martell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Munoz sprawls well. Munoz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Martell gets slowly back to his feet.
Martell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Munoz avoids it really well and circles away.
Munoz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Munoz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Martell.

Munoz tries to close the distance and clinch but Martell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Martell tries for a takedown but Munoz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Martell throws a low kick but Munoz moves out of range easily.
Munoz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Munoz half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Martell moves in looking to clinch but Munoz pushes him off.
Martell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Munoz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Martell somewhat.

Munoz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Martell was covering up waiting for the punch and Munoz finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Munoz is looking to work some ground and pound but Martell has wrist control.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Martell is on top in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Munoz will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Munoz turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Munoz manages to end up in side control.

Munoz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Martell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Munoz defends it easily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Munoz will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Martell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Martell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Munoz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Martell.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Munoz looks like he's trying to stand up.
Martell is keen to just control but Munoz is a slippery customer.
Munoz is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at All Time Wrestling - 12 ELITE COACHES, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
