Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Money (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Honeycutt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Money's entrance music is Scarface - Dollar. A fine choice. Henry Honeycutt is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eddie Money!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Honeycutt!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Money stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Money wants it to stay on the feet.
Honeycutt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Honeycutt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Honeycutt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Money sprawls well. Money wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Honeycutt gets slowly back to his feet.
Eddie Money has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Honeycutt.

Honeycutt shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Money manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Money has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Honeycutt has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Honeycutt tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Money smiles and moves away.

Money displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Honeycutt.
Honeycutt shoots in for a takedown but Money shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Money misses with a body kick.
Honeycutt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Money throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Money throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Money uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Honeycutt tries to clinch there but Money circles away.
Money walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Honeycutt checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Money tried to score with a low kick but Honeycutt checks it.
Honeycutt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Money as he avoids it easily.
Money throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Honeycutt feints the counter takedown.
Honeycutt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Money.
Money cracks Honeycutt with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Money finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Honeycutt slips a jab and a cross from Money.

Honeycutt moves away from the strike by Money.

Money closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Money working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Money knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Honeycutt on the ground.
Honeycutt takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Money throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
A lull in the action here as Money stalls from top position.
You can see the frustration on Honeycutt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Money looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Money cracks Honeycutt with a big right hand but Honeycutt just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Money lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Money tries for a kimura but Honeycutt is defending well.
Money landing a few strikes.
Money in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Money grinds an elbow into Honeycutt's temple.
Money is working Honeycutt over with some ground and pound from side control.
Money happy to just control the position for now.
Money landing strikes.

Money goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Honeycutt rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Money's guard! Nice work there by Honeycutt!
Money wants to get back to his feet but Honeycutt is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Honeycutt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eddie Money dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Honeycutt takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Honeycutt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Money is fending him off so far but Honeycutt persists. Nope, Money circles away and we're back to standing.
Honeycutt checks a leg kick.
And Honeycutt tries to counter it with a takedown but Money pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Honeycutt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Money tries to avoid it but Honeycutt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Money to the ground. Money escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Honeycutt shoots in looking for a takedown but Money manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Honeycutt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Money is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Honeycutt can do to turn this around?
Money looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Honeycutt with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Money seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Money is taking a breather. Honeycutt says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Money looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Money connects with a nice short shot to Honeycutt's temple.
Money lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Honeycutt has hold of Money's hands but Money slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Money working the head and body with strikes.
Money is nestled in close to Honeycutt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Honeycutt has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Honeycutt is still in real trouble! Can Money finish him?

Money lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Honeycutt quite badly. Honeycutt pulls Money in close trying to recover. Money postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Honeycutt on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Honeycutt doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie Money!
Eddie Money decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
