Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darko Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omid Babak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omid Babak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vader instigates a clinch.

Babak pulls Vader into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Babak is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Vader presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Babak wants to stall.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Vader just misses with a elbow thrown towards Babak's brow.
Vader tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Babak avoids it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vader misses with a hook from the clinch.
Babak manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Vader lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

and Vader counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Babak tries for a takedown but Vader sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Vader stuffs the takedown.
Darko Vader has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omid Babak.

Vader catches Babak with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Babak fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vader to the ground. Babak is now in Vader's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vader tests Babak's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Babak shoots in looking for a takedown. Vader tries to sprawl out of it but Babak keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vader manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Good exchange - Vader coming out on top.
Vader throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Babak shoots in and drives through. Vader sprawls well.

Babak looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Vader has a hand on Babak's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Babak takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Vader is in a horrible position here. Babak smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Vader tries to hold on but Babak pushes him away.
Vader reaches up and holds on to Babak to control the position.
Babak landing strikes from the mount.

A close round but Omid Babak will probably get the nod.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Babak is working for a guillotine from mount but Vader frees his head quite easily.
Babak tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
