The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gioros Malaks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kage blocks a head kick by Malaks.
The fighters circling - Kage throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kage uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Malaks.
Malaks tries to close the distance and clinch but Kage swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Malaks looks to land a body kick but Kage moved away.
Kage takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kage thows a left - swing and a miss!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kage jabs Malaks right on the nose. Malaks blinks but takes it well.
Kage takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Malaks throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kage looks to land a left hand but Malaks moved out of range nicely.

Kage missing with a left hand there. Malaks was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Malaks.
Malaks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kage waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Malaks.
No joy there for Malaks, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Malaks ducks under a wild hook from Kage.

and Malaks counters with a left and a right that stings Kage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kage is working to tighten his grip on Malaks's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Malaks has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kage is really squeezing tight and eventually Malaks passes out! Kage breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
