Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Hardin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little Rick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ethan Hardin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Little Rick!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rick shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Hardin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rick napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Hardin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Hardin swings around for an armbar but Rick sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hardin's guard.
Hardin wants to sweep here but Rick controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hardin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hardin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rick on the ground.

Rick postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hardin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rick, into his guard.
Hardin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hardin stands up and waves to Rick to follow him.

Hardin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rick is trying to defend but Hardin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Hardin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rick is pressing down on Hardin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Hardin wanted to stand there but Rick had control of the position.

Rick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hardin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rick escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hardin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hardin won't allow Rick to sweep him here.

Rick is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hardin defends well.
Hardin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hardin wanted to stand there but Rick had control of the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Hardin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Hardin turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Hardin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hardin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hardin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rick is just riding it out for now. Hardin eventually gives up the hold.

Hardin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
