PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dudley Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Badi Harry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dawson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lambda Lambda Lambda Song. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harry throws a sloppy head kick and Dawson moves out of range easily.
Dawson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Harry throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Harry gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Harry is trying to control the position but Dawson postures up.
Dawson stops Harry from standing up.

Dawson gets to his feet - Harry follows without any prompting.
Dawson is breathing heavily.
Harry thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Dawson if he has to take too many more of those.

Dawson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Harry's guard.
Harry wants to stand and escape but Dawson is having none of it.
Dawson forces his way into half guard.
Harry wants to improve his position but Dawson is controlling well.
Harry misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Harry is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Harry lands a head kick. Dawson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Dawson.
Dawson tries to stand but Harry is controlling his head.
Dawson prevents Harry from escaping the position.
The ground and pound from Dawson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Harry is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dawson has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Dawson wants to control but Harry is keeping him busy.
Dawson in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Harry is looking for a sweep.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Harry throws a sloppy head kick and Dawson moves out of range easily.

Dawson gets the takedown into side control.
Harry tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Harry is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Dawson is working to tighten is grip on Harry's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Harry has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dawson is really squeezing tight and eventually Harry passes out! Dawson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
