Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Igor Byhenikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mawzer VaraKolaudov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byhenikov scores with a punch to the head.
VaraKolaudov takes one to the chin there.


It looks like Mawzer VaraKolaudov has been cut.
VaraKolaudov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Byhenikov lands a slapping body shot.
Byhenikov connects with a single shot there.
VaraKolaudov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Byhenikov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
VaraKolaudov goes for a double leg but Byhenikov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Byhenikov continues to drive forward.
Byhenikov fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches VaraKolaudov on the side of the head.
Byhenikov thuds a left hand into VaraKolaudov's body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
VaraKolaudov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Byhenikov.
Byhenikov cracks VaraKolaudov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Byhenikov lands with an uppercut that bounces VaraKolaudov off the cage and back into range.
Byhenikov lands a lovely overhand right.
Byhenikov is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

VaraKolaudov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Byhenikov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
VaraKolaudov told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Byhenikov working a defensive guard but VaraKolaudov passes into half guard.
VaraKolaudov lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
VaraKolaudov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

VaraKolaudov decides to stand and escape the position.
Igor Byhenikov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Byhenikov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps VaraKolaudov's head backwards.
Byhenikov scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Byhenikov connects with a body shot.

Byhenikov drops VaraKolaudov with a beautiful combination! VaraKolaudov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Byhenikov is looking for the KO!


That has opened up Mawzer VaraKolaudov's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Byhenikov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Byhenikov drops VaraKolaudov with a beautiful combination! VaraKolaudov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Byhenikov is looking for the KO!


VaraKolaudov is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Byhenikov feints and then cracks VaraKolaudov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow VaraKolaudov down.
VaraKolaudov is still on wobbly legs! Can Byhenikov finish him?
VaraKolaudov looks up at the clock. Bad move! Byhenikov lands a right hand from hell, dropping VaraKolaudov. Byhenikov pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Igor Byhenikov!
A less than humble Igor Byhenikov misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
