The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shaw gets a clinch.

Dong tightens his grip and picks Shaw up, before dumping him to the ground. Shaw manages to land in guard.
Dong stands and throws Shaw's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Shaw could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Dong thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dong wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shaw, who protects the arm well.
Shaw tries to buck Dong off but Dong is having none of it.

Dong is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Shaw knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dong has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Shaw is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Dong yanks on the arm and Shaw is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Dong.
