PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roscoe Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Park (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Roscoe Jenkins has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Roscoe Jenkins seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Roscoe Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carl Park!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins shoots for a takedown but Park saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jenkins shoots in and drives through. Park sprawls well.
Jenkins fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Park looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roscoe Jenkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Park stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Park wants it to stay on the feet.
Park doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Park is working Jenkins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Park is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Jenkins has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Park tries to keep control of the position but Jenkins is staying busy.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Park gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jenkins to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Park goes for a double leg but Jenkins avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jenkins continues to drive forward.

Park is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jenkins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jenkins tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Park defends well and Jenkins ends up having to push Park into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

A chopping leg kick lands by Park.
Jenkins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Park is fending him off so far but Jenkins persists. Nope, Park circles away and we're back to standing.
Park drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jenkins defends it well.

Park closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jenkins to the mat! Jenkins manages to get full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Park is looking for a kimura but Jenkins is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Park to get the leverage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jenkins has a takedown stuffed.
Jenkins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Park sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jenkins somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carl Park showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Park pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Jenkins wants to get back to his feet but Park passes into half guard.

Roscoe Jenkins showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Park has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
