The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

the snake gets the takedown into side control.

the snake decides to stand back up. the snake steps back and let's disease get back to his feet.

and the snake counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

the snake misses with a series of wild punches.
disease tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but the snake swivels and escapes.

the snake has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed disease clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

the snake doesn't have the hooks in and disease manages to turn into his guard.

disease had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. the snake is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. disease Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take the snake's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
the snake breaks disease's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
disease wants to sweep but no luck.

the snake decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on disease, up you get!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
